WHAT IS SPORTS VISION EVALUATION

Vision is the dominant sense that affects sports performance. In many sports it is more critical than muscular strength or size of a person.
Sports vision tests are more extensive than regular eye exam because of the higher vision demand placed on an athlete.

WHO USED SPORTS VISION

Sports vision evaluation and improvement was mostly available to professional athletes and elite sportspersons. However, lately this professional help is available to every active person who wants to improve his or her score / performance.

COMPONENTS OF SPORTS VISION EVALUATION
Binocular Vision: Ability to use both the eyes in coordinated way.
Depth Perception: Ability to perceive the depth clearly and quickly.
Peripheral Vision: Ability to see around while focusing on specific object.
Fusion: Ability to stay focused on an object with both eyes together.

HOW IS THE VISION IMPROVED

After evaluation, the potential improvement is discussed with the athlete and a series of therapy sessions are held at our office.
After therapy sessions, vision is again evaluated to measure change.
